Privacy Policy

Version 2026-10-31 · Last updated: 31 October 2026

In short. Physica has no accounts and no server of its own. The simulation lab and the Test Series keep your settings, answers and scores only in your own browser. We do not collect your name, email or test results, we never sell data, we show no ads, and we do not track or profile students. We use Google Analytics to count visits (pages and simulations opened, new and returning visitors, device and approximate location, with IP addresses masked), never your name or answers. You can turn it off or switch to “No cookies” in section 6.

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

“Physica”, “we”, “us” is the individual who runs Physica as a sole proprietorship (no company is registered yet), address postal address available on request at easy@physica.in, operating physica.in. For personal data we collect through Physica we are the “Data Fiduciary” under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and we also follow the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it. Contact: easy@physica.in.

This policy covers the whole of Physica: (a) the simulation lab and (b) the Test Series. Neither needs an account. We will update this policy before we change what we collect.

2. The simulation lab (no account)

Saved only on your device

These stay in your own browser (“local storage”) and are never sent to us: the name or nickname you give the AI Tutor, language and level, tutor stars, your mode, theme, favourite simulations and your visit-statistics choice. Clear your browser’s site data to remove them.

What you choose to send us

These are delivered through Google Forms and used only to reply to you and to improve Physica. Please do not include sensitive personal details.

Questions the tutor could not answer

If the AI Tutor cannot answer a question, the question text is sent anonymously (without your name) with the chapter, language and level, so we can write a good answer. It is limited to a few questions per day.

Voice

Speech comes from your device’s or browser’s own voices. Some browsers may process the spoken text on their own servers under their own privacy policies. The 🎤 button uses your browser’s speech recognition only when you press it. We do not receive or store any audio.

3. Test Series: what happens to your answers

Test Series runs entirely in your browser. The test papers are plain files on our website. When you answer, your answers, flags, time spent per question, start time and score are stored only in your browser’s local storage on your own device. They are never sent to us, and we cannot see them. There is no login, no name, no email address and no rank list.

4. Who handles your data for us

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising. Providers involved:

We may disclose data if required by law, a court or a government authority, or to protect people’s safety or our rights. Some providers (for example Google and GitHub) may process data outside India; the DPDP Act permits this except to countries the Government restricts.

5. Children (under 18)

Many Physica users are students under 18. For them we apply the DPDP Act’s child protections:

6. Cookies, local storage and visit statistics

Physica sets no cookies of its own. It uses your browser’s local storage for the settings in section 2 and for your Test Series answers and scores (section 3). Physica itself keeps no visit counters.

Visit statistics with Google Analytics. By default we use Google Analytics to see how many people visit Physica, how many are new and how many come back each day. It sets a first-party cookie that expires after 90 days. We switch off Google signals and ad personalisation, we send only the name of the page or simulation you open, and nothing you type, no answers and no scores. Nothing is counted while the Test Series is open, or if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Google also receives the normal web request, which includes your IP address and browser details. We ask Google Analytics to mask IP addresses, and Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. You can choose “No cookies” (page views only, a new random number on every page load) or “Turn off”. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or teacher before using Physica with statistics on, or turn them off here. Change your choice at any time:

Non-registered users and students. Physica has no accounts, so nobody registers, and we do not collect personally identifiable information such as a name, email address, phone number, school or test result from anyone, including students. When visit statistics are on, Google Analytics receives and reports only this: which page or simulation is opened and when; how long it stays open; the number of visits, how many visitors are new or returning and how many come each day; the website you came from; your device type (phone, tablet or computer), browser, operating system, screen size and language; your approximate location (such as country, state or city); and, in the default mode, a random number kept in a first-party cookie to tell new visitors from returning ones. We use it only to see how many people visit and which simulations are used, to keep Physica working well.

Additionally, Physica uses Google Analytics to help us measure traffic and understand how Physica is used (for example language and country, device type, and which pages and simulations people open and move between). Our Google Analytics is configured for IP masking, and Google states that no IP addresses are logged or stored in Google Analytics 4 (GA4). You can learn more about Google’s practices at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and view its currently available opt-out options at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

7. How we protect data

No system can be made perfectly secure, but Physica is built to hold as little as possible:

If something goes wrong. If a personal-data breach ever affects you we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires, and report cyber incidents to CERT-In within the time the law sets (currently 6 hours). To report a security problem, write to easy@physica.in (see security.txt). Please give us reasonable time to fix it before making it public.

8. How long we keep data

We keep no Test Series data. What is in your browser stays until you clear it. Form messages (feedback and help) are kept only as long as needed to reply and improve Physica, and are held in Google Forms under Google’s terms.

9. Your rights

You (or, for a child, the parent or guardian) may:

10. Grievance Officer

Name: the operator of Physica · Email: easy@physica.in · Address: postal address available on request at easy@physica.in.

We acknowledge every complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you may approach the Data Protection Board of India as the law permits.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The version and date are at the top. We will show the new version date here.
