Class 11 Physics simulations · Motion in a Straight Line
Vertical throw and the turning point
Throw a ball upward and follow height, velocity, and acceleration through its highest point.
What to notice
Velocity is zero only for an instant at the top. Acceleration is still downward there.
Key relation
v = u − gt; y = h₀ + ut − ½gt²
Try this
Pause close to the turning point and switch on Show physics.
What you can change
- Upward launch speed: 5 to 25 m/s
- Launch height: 0 to 10 m
