Class 12 Physics simulations · Electromagnetic Induction
Magnetic flux through a tilted coil
Tilt a coil in a uniform magnetic field and see the flux follow cos θ.
What to notice
Flux is greatest when the field is perpendicular to the coil’s plane (θ = 0) and zero when it lies in the plane.
Key relation
Φ = NBA cos θ
Try this
Spin the coil and watch the induced EMF peak when the flux is zero.
What you can change
- Magnetic field: 0.1 to 1 T
- Coil area: 10 to 400 cm²
- Turns: 1 to 200
- Tilt angle θ: 0 to 180 °
- Coil: choose Held at angle θ, Rotating at 1 rev/s
